Independence Celebration

Well, our 4th of July was quite interesting! We went to the fire chief's house for the annual cookout, which consisted of bbq chicken (on the smoker), smoked shoulder, ribs, burgers and hot dogs. Potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, baked beans, and corn on the cob completed the meal. All I can say is WHOA! It was tasty!

The firework display was better than anything the city puts on. It was awesome too! Well, except for the part where one of the large roman candles fell over, and shot the missiles at us! Yep, I got hit. In the knee. Lol....I am fine. Just a bit sore and bruised. Luckily, there were plenty of firemen and first responders there in case of emergency! Hope your 4th was as interesting and fun!
